NZ bush on kauri

This 35000 year old kauri round has been returned to the nz native bush.
.
I sanded back its old yellow varnish to reveal the natural beauty of the wood and chose a photograph that I took while in Stewart island on a walk. It reminds me of the damp forest smell and the kaka that followed us for 1 hr. It turned out it wanted a drink from my water bottle.
