Bean rock Lighthouse

This is an original encaustic artwork by Studio Reset of  Bean rock lighthouse: It’s the distinctive wooden cottage-style lighthouse sitting out in the water that you can see from the ferry between Auckland and Waiheke. Built in 1871, it is New Zealand’s oldest surviving timber-built lighthouse.  It is painted onto a framed hardwood panel that has been finished with a Japanese technique referred to as yakisuki. 30x30cm
