The Phone is Off the Hook

This is a large encaustic artwork was inspired by a repile I did on a house I own in Newtown,Wellington. I kept the old relics found on the job site and incorporated them into the artwork, paying homage to the house and history. Vintage Congoleum, taken from the floor boards is used as a background, and the retro phone was transferred into the wax itself.
