It took a full tear in my supraspinatus to make me stop and attempt to figure out ecommerce

Well, here you find my very first blog post on my new shopify website for 2022. What a year I've had so far...let's just say I'm not ready to talk about it but for now let me bore you with my sore shoulder saga.
So over easter, I decided it would be nice to renovate my daughters room for her. I painted a wall from robins egg blue to a pebble grey colour and bought her a vintage barley twist oak bedroom suite with a few dusty pink accessories. To be honest, I fell in love with it on trademe and was determined to be the highest bidder at any cost(artists budget of course).
Well I won, so I grabbed the kids and hubby and off we went into Palmerston North to pick it up. My oh my, it was everything I could of wished for.....Elegant and in pristine condition. We packed it ever so carefully into the flat deck trailer and made our way back to Te Horo.
We started with the wardrobe and lifted it into her room. It weighed a ton and I have often struggled with the fact I think I am stronger than I actually am. Well that oak wardrobe brought me to my knees with a sudden pop in my shoulder. "Nevermind, let's get it into the closet", I said eyes streaming with tears and some very strong curse words. Fricken heck!!!(it's the Canadian in me).
Well, that was my start to a 5 month journey to recovery or surgeon appointment. I knew nothing about how my shoulder worked and quite frankly took it's years of fluid movement for granted. I currently can only lift my arm 30 degrees without getting a painful impingement. The pain has settled to an all day dull annoying radiance in the rotator cuff, down the arm and it reminds me with sudden painful surges if I move the wrong way. My right arm takes the full load of day to day tasks and get's quite sore.
I am helping it along with acupuncture, ultrasound, and securing it with rock tape. Metagenics inflavanoid Intensive care inflammatory tablets, ice packs, shockwave therapy sauna and massage keep the pain at bay.
Hence, I haven't been able to make any artwork as of late but I have plenty of ideas that I want to get stuck into once I get the check from the surgeon. The only catch is, I was told he has a 4 month waiting list and I am unlikely to hear from him until then. NZ health care system is a struggle even with private insurance right now. Here's hoping the tendon does not grow apart in that time and then surgery is not possible. Send me your healing thoughts peeps and maybe your story/tips if you've ever had a shoulder injury (FIY-full thickness tear of my supraspinatus tendon). In the meantime, I will be trying to figure out shopify and how to link it to my instagram for a smooth art appreciating and or buying experience.
